About the author

Anna Coady, author of the new book What Can I Do While Baby is Nursing?, is a loving mother to two children, a dedicated Occupational Therapist, and a passionate storyteller.

Originally from the greater Chicago area, Anna grew up with supportive parents and three siblings before earning her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She worked as an Occupational Therapist and Director of Rehab, specializing in the geriatric population in nursing homes.

After having children, her career goals shifted to raising her family while working part-time. During her second pregnancy, Anna realized that no sibling books encompassed breastfeeding and co-sleeping — two practices central both to her family and many others.

This realization inspired her to write What Can I Do While Baby is Nursing?, a book which offers activities to keep children engaged while their mom is nursing, and helps them feel included and prepared for the arrival of a new sibling.

Anna hopes her work not only supports families but also normalizes breastfeeding in public and co-sleeping. She lives in Bradenton, FL where she enjoys spending sunny days with her husband and daughters while creating stories that make a difference.
